Do you know that feeling that our days are always the same, that our lives never change? For example, I went to Brazil in May after one year of living in London. Some friends and family said it felt e it was less than a year since we had last seen each other. I also had that same feeling. One year goes fast! You just have to think about how long it has been since you’ve last seen some of your close friends. I bet there are some you haven’t met for a while, right?

But when it has children involved your perception of time changes. I think it’s because you realize how much they change all the time. And then there is a will to freeze the present moment, to stay with him forever there, just like that.

To minimize this nostalgia, I think there are two things we can do. The first one is to be present in every moment, body and soul. That way we create our memories and they stay alive for a lot longer. And the second one is to photograph these moments, family photography. So these memories can be always alive and easy to access. Remembering moments we were happy helps us realize how worthwhile life is!

But it is difficult to do both things at once, and then the photographer becomes important. They manage to capture the whole family, enjoying their moment together.

This family here in this session have been my friends for a lifetime and they are very important in my life as well. Having a chance to photograph them again (here are posts from the Theo newborn lifestyle photography London and the candid family session I’ve posted) also helps me when I miss them <3, since an ocean separates us after I’ve changed continents. I took pictures of them at home too but I left for another post. In this one was their day enjoying the park with the little one! Isn’t it pleasant to see this beautiful family enjoying the day together? <3
