Before we start this Hyde Park photo shoot I asked Mariana what London represented to her. She answered “freedom”, with no hesitation. And with that in mind that we thought a Hyde Park photo shoot would suit well.
Mari is a super spontaneous person, she is always laughing and talking. But it’s just pointing a camera at her that she freezes. The fact of being “judged” by that inanimate object called camera makes many people freeze, even the most spontaneous ones. And I’m talking about it to show how this is not a problem. During the course of the session, the person that is being photographed feels more relaxed over time, until they forget they are being photographed and fell relaxed to be able themselves, and that is where the magic happens. I think the photos show what was this Hyde Park photo shoot, relaxed and fun.
I also love very much when I have the chance to photograph someone who is already my friend. Mari was the first new friend that London gave me when I got here, we arrived almost together and she even introduced me to other people who ended up being my friends too (one of them I even photographed, remember this Fernanda London photoshoot). And we had so many good moments in those last 6 months that we are already missing her. That’s right, she’s going to explore other places. Go, friend, fly, see what the world has for you! Good luck on this new walk! And when you want to come back, London will always have a lot to offer, and I’ll be waiting for you here. 🙂
